NO soda say what!?

NO SODA???
Yes you have read the title right...NO SODA!
Since New Years Eve that was the last day that i had soda! I had decided that i did not want to drink soda anymore, at least go without it for the whole year or even go without as long as i can go for; well lets just say Ive been doing wonderful without it in my diet and i couldn't be more happier without it!
Ive always been a soda fein since i could remember and honestly i would drink soda a handful of times a day along with juice and very little water. I can say this much, on Monday my husband brought two cans of soda home from work and while Dr pepper looked me in the face i considered having the can.... well needless to say it is all about will power and i kicked that craving real quick! I told myself do i want to give up what i have planned for the year for a drink of soda? Of course the answer is NO! And it wasn't that i was craving it, it was the fact i wanted something different to drink besides water, well let me tell you something i poured me a cup of Arizona Sweet Tea to kick that sweet craving and boy o boy was i happy! :)
In my opinion i know my body better than anyone else in this world does and i know that because i am getting older i want to be able to live a longer happy life and as i slowly remove certain things out of my diet i am getting closer to my goal, being a happy healthier me! Its bad enough my teeth are messed up from my accident back in 2004 and i do need work done, but with drinking soda was not only eating my teeth but eating at my health. Soda was making me sluggish and lazy and yeah maybe it does give you that boost of energy and a sugar crash later, i was not in that position to keep soda in my life much longer.
When i spoke with my mom a few days ago and told her my big plans and that i kicked soda out of my diet, she told me that it was nice to have it once in awhile and so on, and i told my mom nope i am done with soda for the year! Believe it or not i truly am done with it for the year i have alot of goals i want to accomplish and i want to see how my body turns out by the end of the year without the soda without the sweets and so forth, why is it so hard for everyone to think it wont last long? Because maybe they cant kick the habit themselves? Ive came this far in such little time and i am determined to keep pushing forward to a New me New Year.
Things are changing and i can already feel mentally and physically a difference! I say try going without a soda for a month and you'll see what I'm talking about you will feel a change and you will feel so much better! Just do it! :)
Time to make that change! Join me on my fitness journey to a New Year New me and see the progress i make. If you like the way my progress is going please feel free to join me at anytime!
Lets make this New Year the best ever!

Happy Sunday *UPDATE*

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday to all.
I have been in a great mood since New Years! Lots of positive vibes going around among motivation.
I am VERY pleased to say since January 1st i have been drinking nothing but water! Yup that's right drinking water like a fish since... among with tea, milk, and one cup of coffee. I also cut out soda from my diet! So no more soda for me, but an occasional soda wouldn't hurt but at the same time i do not see myself drinking soda for awhile :)
among with changing my diet i just started yoga back up yesterday! I feel so wonderful after doing my 22-24 minute session. I feel very energized and more motivated to keep it up. See with the way i am doing things i am strengthen my whole body first before i start anything intense. With having two kids under the age of two, i do not want to strain out my muscles and make it difficult to hold my kids and vis versa, so i came up with a plan! To do Yoga for the rest of the month of January, 1-2 times a day among doing other activity's like baby wearing, dance dance on my Xbox 360 and just keeping active throughout the day. The more i strengthen up my whole body muscles i will be ready to accomplish more activities next month like the 30 day plank challenge, and or the squat challenge , more intense yoga and doing it a few times a day etc... no need to over do it and feel so sore you rest for days then u gotta start back from the beginning. I feel with making small goals a month will help you add more each month to your working out plan, specially if u haven't worked out for awhile like me, this is your best bet to get back into the grind and workout like never before without throwing yourself in and being too sore to continue on the next day.
I didn't take my first photos yesterday after i started my yoga, but i did today so that i can see how much progress I'm making each day/week. Haven't decided to take photos daily or weekly... lol
But started tomorrow (Monday) i have alot to concur .... getting back into a routine! wake up early before the kids wake up, do my yoga, get the kids up at a certain time, make breakfast, take the kids out to the library for activity time, among coming home to have lunch, get the kids to nap, clean up, partake in some yoga, have me some me time etc.... with having two young kids i am constantly on my feet.
Without further a do here are my first progress photos and many more to come!

Bare with me and my hot mess of myself, i had just barley finished doing my yoga :)
I have alot of toning up to do but i feel wonderful that I'm starting and getting a go on the New Year and New Me!
